Johnson's Island Civil War Prison is a National Historic Landmark located in Sandusky Bay, Lake Erie, Ohio.  The island was used as a depot for Confederate Officers captured during the American Civil War.  Currently, the site is owned by the Friends and Descendants of Johnson's Island Civil War Prison.  They manage the property for research, educational, interpretative, and preservation purposes.
